God has a purpose behind every problem in life.
1 Peter 4:12 (AMP): Peter assures us that problems are normal, saying, Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you. 13 But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, keep on rejoicing, so that when His glory [filled with His radiance and splendor] is revealed, you may rejoice with great joy. (1 Peter 4:12 (AMP).
So what is God saying to us this morning?
Joshua 1:9 (NKJV): Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Psalm 37:25 (NKJV): I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.
Psalm 34:18 (NIV): reassures us that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 119:71 (KJV): It was good for me to be afflicted so that I could learn your statues.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (AMP): Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].
.Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV): Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6: in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
7.This is a life saving scripture when trouble provokes you.
Isaiah 43:1-2 (NKJV): But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel:“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.
When I need to stay calm, I turn to this Scripture: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Phil 4:6-7, NIV)
.Romans 8:28 (KJV): And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Every circumstance/challenge a Christian faces in life, good or bad, has been designed by God for his benefit, so he should face them “in Christ” and rejoice in andthank God for them.
