THE VALUE OF A THING IS REVEALED IN THE PURSUIT OF THE THING: Apostle Emanu-el J. McKenzie

Pursuit: An effort to secure or attain; quest.

Psalms 63:8 (AMP)

"My whole being follows hard after You and clings closely to You; Your right hand upholds me."

Psalms 63:8 (TPT)

"With passion I pursue and cling to you. Because I feel your grip on my life, I keep my soul close to your heart."

Passion: Intense, driving, or overmastering feeling or conviction.

Psalms 42:1-2 (AMP)

"AS THE hart pants and longs for the water brooks, so I pant and long for You, O God. My inner self thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and behold the face of God?"

Psalms 42:1-2 (TPT)

"I long to drink of you, O God, to drink deeply from the streams of pleasure flowing from your presence. My longings overwhelm me for more of you! My soul thirsts, pants, and longs for the living God. I want to come and see the face of God."

1. How tragic that we in this dark day have had our seeking done for us by our teachers. Everything is made to center upon the initial act of accepting Christ (a term, incidentally, which is not found in the Bible) and we are not expected thereafter to crave any further revelation of God to our souls.

2. If you give someone something that they do not cave for they will not be able to see, know nor appreciate it’s value they will depreciate it, they will dishonor it, they will take it for granted and trample on it.

3. Many times it is when you loose something your eyes is open to see how valuable the the thing was or if you see and know how valuable a thing is you will be willing to pay the ultimate price to get it.

WHAT PRICE AM I WILLING TO PAY TO APPREHEND HIM:

Matthew 13:44 (NKJV)

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field."

Matthew 13:45-46 (NKJV)

"Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it."

GOD WILL WITHDRAW TO TEST YOUR PURSUIT AND HIS VALUE:

Chronicles 32:31 (NKJV)

"However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart."

Has the Lord ever withdraw Himself from you to test your heart and what was the outcome? Did you continue to pursue Him when you didn’t feel Him? Did you pass God’s test?
