Announcer:someone who comes to announce an event or something that is about to happen or take place.
Matthew chapter one is the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Because it is a lot of names we scheme through it so we can move on to part B of chapter one because we have a difficult time pronouncing the names. Friday night into Saturday morning The Lord would not allow me sleep. The Lord spoke to me these are not just names, but this is my plan to bring Jesus Christ the Messiah the savior of the world into the earth. From Abraham to David and from David to Jesus and every name was a part of my plan to bring My son Jesus into the earth to have legal access. Part B of chapter one the angel of The Lord announced to Joseph that his wife Mary was with child by The Holy Ghost. The boy child would be named Jesus who would save His people from their sins.
Jesus means: Yahweh is salvation. The angle announced to Joseph what was written in Isaiah.
Isaiah 7:14 (NKJV) Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Immanuel meaning God is with us.
Luke 1 takes it from there with the announcement to Zacharias the priest of the division of abijah concerning his wife Elizabeth who was barren and they were both advanced in years. When Zacharias burning incense in the temple the angel of The Lord announced to Zacharias your wife Elizabeth will bear a son and you shall call his name John. V5 His wife was of the daughters of Aaron.
18. And Zacharias said to the angel, “How shall I know this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years.” 19. And the angel answered and said to him, “I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and was sent to speak to you and bring you these glad tidings. 20. But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place, because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.”
The angel announced John would be filled with The Holy Spirit even from his mother’s womb.
After that Mary who is pregnant with Jesus visits Elizabeth in Luke 1: 41-43.
Luke 1:41-43 (NKJV) And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary that the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 Then she spoke out with a loud voice and said, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 But why is this granted to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
Matthew 3:1-3 (NKJV) In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, 2 and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!” 3 For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’ ”
John came to announce the coming of The Messiah, the introduction of Emmanuel God is with us, The Lamb of God who comes to take away the sins of the world.
Mark 1:2-8 (NKJV) As it is written in the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.” 3“The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’ ” 4 John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. 5 Then all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins. 6 Now John was clothed with camel’s hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached, saying, “There comes one after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. 8 I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Jesus is making an announcement today
Matthew 11:27-30 (NKJV) All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am [a]gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
In the four gospels Jesus raises up 11 men out of 12 to be announcers that would announce “repent for The Kingdom of God is at hand.
Today God has assigned you and I to announce to our world repent for The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
