Psalm 11:3 (KJV)

"If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

Psalm 11:3 (AMPC)

"If the foundations are destroyed, what can the {unyieldingly} righteous do, or what has He {the Righteous One} or accomplished?"

Psalm 11:3 (TPT)

"What can the righteous accomplish when truth’s pillars are destroyed and law and order collapse?"

- A basis (such as a tenet, principle, or axiom) upon which something stands or is supported.

-An organization or institution established by endowment with provision for future maintenance.

- A body or ground upon which something is built up or overlaid.

Prophet Grant used the illustration that a foundation built for a home which you or I live, could not support a tall commercial building. in fact the foundation must be stronger and weightier than the building that it supports.

The foundation built, established, on which our life stands must be stronger and weightier than the life seen on the outside. In fact, think about one of these tall buildings in any downtown area. If you ever see the beginning stages of construction it starts with a deep hole in the ground, sometimes several stories deep. When the pouring of the concrete begins it is calculated that the taller the building, the deeper the foundation must be poured.

We need these foundations for our marriage, foundations for our destiny, foundations for parenting. And as Christ Followers, those foundations must be based on the Word of God.

Psalm 11:3 (NKJV)

"If those foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

Psalm 106:32 (NKJV)

"They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:"

2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMPC)

"Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!"

Isaiah 59:1 (AMPC)

"Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened at all, that it cannot save, nor His ear dull with deafness, that it cannot hear."

Hebrews 4:12 (AMPC)

"For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart."

Hebrews 4:12-13 (MSG)

"God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one is impervious to God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what."

Philippians 3:13 (AMPC)

"I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead."
