For those of you who joined our Tuesday night livestream Bible study service, you witnessed the Lord leading Apostle to beautifully demonstrate how to war and battle for the salvation of the souls of those you’re praying and believing God for. It was POWEFUL! For those who have not seen the message I highly recommend that you go YouTube.com, search Panorama Christian Center, watch that video and let the Lord minister to you. It’ll bless you. The man of good made a statement that evening that I just could not get out of my head. I kept hearing his voice and this statement over and over again. Even when the service was over I continued to hear these words echoing. “Help a brother out.” To be completely honest with you, initially when I heard him mention that phrase I snickered and I kind of chuckled only because of the context he used it in and for those who were on the line I’m sure you remember. This morning I believe God wants to deal with us concerning helping a brother out.
When it comes brother don’t look at brother from a biological standpoint. As in you share one or both parents alike. Don’t look at brother from a gender perspective. Brother has nothing to do with being male or female. When you look at brother look at a brother from the aspect of humanity
1. John 1:29 (NKJV):Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
If the Word of God be true and it is then Jesus who is the Lamb of has taken away the sin of the world. Therefore it is clear that God cares about humanity
2. Job 12:10 (AMP):In His hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
God is concerned about humanity. God is concerned about the eternal well being of every soul.
3. 2 Peter 3:9 (NLT):The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
It is not God’s will that any man should perish. God wants everyone to turn away from that thing which is blocking them from being who God has called ordained and anointed them to be. God need vessels in the earth that He can use to advance His kingdom to all of mankind. But are our prayers, intercession and warfare position externally to all of mankind or are our prayers, intercession and warfare all internally focused? Are we praying for our husbands our wives our children, our parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, best friends and forgetting Jesus is the Lamb that taketh away the sin of the world? Heaven’s agenda is bigger than just you and I, God’s plan is too massive to just be for my family and my friends.
Do you think it is a coincidence that in the midst of establishing our discipleship system this pandemic would come causing not just this state or even this nation but the entire world to be shut in. Absolutely not! So evidently that means that God will use the Coronavirus to bless advance the discipleship system to go globally.
4. Genesis 50:20 (NLT):You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.
God has strategically and perfectly position us to be used as instruments to win souls so that the Father may be magnified and glorified if we are attentive, alert and spiritually astute
In the midst of everything that is transpiring today, this pandemic, hours at your job being potentially cut down, potentially losing your job, challenges in your marriage, challenges in your finances in the midst of all the different situations you’re facing, where is your focus concerning God? Is your focus internally? God please sustain me on my job don’t allow me to lose my job, protect my finances, protect my marriage. Or is your focus externally? And before you go forth in prayer you ask God who do you want me to war for, who do you want me to battle for, who do you want me to intercede for. God what is the itinerary of Heaven. And the person God reveals to you is not your family, they are not your friend. The person God reveals is someone who has lied on you, someone who has assassinated your character, someone who tried to jeopardize your lively hood. Someone who has called the authorities on you when you know you did nothing wrong. And you can still be obedient and follow through because you know what matters is Jesus being glorified. On Sunday Apostle shared concerning the nonspiritual man, the carnal man and the spiritual man. The nonspiritual and the carnal man will not be able to do this. This is foolishness to the nonspiritual and carnal man, they won’t be able to comprehend this. This behavior is reserved for the spiritual man. Apostle shares from time to time that you don’t deal with people you deal with the spirits. Once you have dealt with the spirit the person will change.
Apostle brought out that the Bible says to love you one another and that even if you don’t get love in return, you give it. You model love. Perhaps the person you are modeling love to does not know how to love and they are learning how to love by watching you. Sinners can’t see Jesus but they can see Jesus in you by the way you carry yourself, your attitude, how you handle opposition and adversity. Model light in the midst of darkness that the vail will be removed from their eyes.
Many times we come looking to get from God but how often do we come to give to Him.
You grow by pouring into other people and when your focus is I seek to be a blessing not just to be blessed your are on the path to growth but it must be genuine and it must be real.
Isn’t it amazing how there are patterns in the Bible where God responds faster when prayer is directly outwardly as opposed to inwardly. There is evidence in the Bible where God shows up immediately when your focal point is not on you.
You know the story of Job, he was the richest man in the east. He was a man who had a relationship with God. The Bible says that it was Job’s regular custom to sacrifice a burnt offering for his children early in the morning. Then God allowed everything to be touched, his finances, cattle, his health, his relationships. Even his friends expressed that he must have sinned. Those closes to Job had turned on him.
But look at Job’s willingness to obey
5. Job 42:10 (NKJV):And the LORD restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
There is something about you ignoring yourself, ignoring your needs putting yourself on the back burner for someone else that really gets God’s attention
A very familiar passage of scripture
6. Philippians 4:19 (NKJV):And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
We read this scripture but do we understand this scripture? I have a role to play and God has a role to play
Who’s needs will God supply according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus? Scripture always interrupts itself. Let’s go a couple of verses before. Listen to the Apostle Paul as He addresses the Philippian church
7. Philippians 4:15-18 (NKJV): Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
The qualifications for Philippians 4:19 and the blessings are reserved for those who will give into leadership.
8. Philippians 4:17 (MSG): Not that I’m looking for handouts, but I do want you to experience the blessing that issues from generosity.”
By sowing into leadership you have positioned yourself for God to take care of not some but ALL your needs!!
The way and the manner you give will determine the way and manner you will receive
I remember years ago, I had just recently become a member of Panorama Christian Center. There was this book that I purchased from our bookstore titled God’s Creative Power for Finances by Charles & Annette Capps. It’s a small book, as a matter of fact you can put it in your pocket but it’s contains some powerful principles. Towards the back of the book there are declarations. All of the declarations are scripture based and it gives you the actual scripture that is being referenced. What I would do is in the morning before leaving for work I would confess those declarations. One day during service the man of God was sharing some Biblical principles. He shared that what you want to see God do you in your life, you should pray it in his life. What you want to see God do in your children pray it in my children. That was a two fold example of a biblical principles. One is you reap what you and sow. Secondly, what is on the head shall fall to the body. By the grace of Almighty God He showed me how I could appropriate what God had shared through the man of God. After that day, what I started doing in the morning was instead of confessing the declarations that were in the God’s Creative Power for Finances for myself, I would confess them over the man of God. For example, “Apostle McKenzie immediately respond in faith to the guidance of the Holy Spirit within Him. He is always in the right place at the right time because His steps are ordered by the Lord.”(Palms 37:33). I would go through all the confessions before I left my house to go to work.
I began to see God move almost instantaneously for me. The last time I was on the line I shared a testimony. My department at my job was being shut down pretty much and in the midst of being continuously rejected and turned down as I applied to different departments I continued to confess what I was believing God for and as you who have heard the testimony knows God blessed me with a position where I got the schedule I desired along with a raise in my income. Even that testimony, God reminding me the many different dynamics and the different layers to that testimony. A couple of months after I had been working in my new position something was brought to my attention that I had no idea had transpired. God was working behind the scenes. During the same time of me confessing those declarations over the man of God as I was believing for transition, there was a team leader from the department I was currently in. She wasn’t my team leader however she was someone I would speak to whenever I saw her. I would be cordial. The Biblical mentions that if you desire friends then show yourself friendly. You take the first step and you initiate. The conversation was always brief pretty much just a good morning and a have a great day. This very same team leader was very good friends with the director of the department I desired to go to. Their relationship went beyond work. They knew each other’s families, they brought each other birthday gifts, they were close. I had no idea of this. So the director came to her and said I have all these candidates applying for a position that I only have a few slots for. Can you look at the list and give me your input or recommendation? Can you help give me some insight? In other words can you help a sister out? Of all the names on the list I had the least seniority. There were individuals who eclipsed me in seniority by a couple of decades. She saw my name and said oh you have to get this guy he is really good, he’s awesome! He’s the one.
Your lack of seeing movement with your natural eyes is not an indication that movement is not taking place. God is always working behind the scenes.
9. Matthew 6:8 (NLT): Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!”
It is true God knows what we need even before we ask, the issue is many times we don’t know what we need.
You see many times we think carnally so we think money is the end all be all. You don’t need money you need access, you don’t need money you need opportunity, you don’t need money you need favor, you don’t need money you need God to highlight you to the right person so that even on a list of 20, 40, 50 100 candidates they see you and say you’re the one!
There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t pray and ask the Lord to bless the man of God, keep Him sustain Him allow Him to reap a 1000 fold harvest of the seeds that He has sown and that His latter days shall be greater than His former.
So what seeds are you sowing that will guarantee you a harvest? Don’t you know that if a farmer only takes the harvest without sowing or replenishing the field that his crops will be depleted and he will no longer be in busines
